Job Opportunity with Sorenson
Those in the Lincoln, Scottsbluff and Omaha areas who can easily set
up videophones should consider applying for jobs offered by Sorenson
Video Relay Service. The company is searching for installers to help
people set up their Sorenson videophones and video relay software. Installers
also provide troubleshooting advice and training to aid persons using
video relay services.

OAD Summer Cookout on Saturday
The Omaha Association of the Deaf (OAD) will host a summer cookout this
Saturday, July 19, beginning at noon at the OAD Hall, which is located
at 4050 Hillsdale Ave. in Omaha. The cookout will feature hamburgers,
hot dogs and sides, and games for both adults and kids will be available.
The cost to attend the cookout is $5.
Position Open at NCDHH
The NCDHH Public Information Officer (PIO) position will be vacated
at the end of this week, and applications for the new PIO are currently
being accepted at http://www.wrk4neb.org.
The general duties of the position include developing and implementing
information activities for NCDHH and increasing awareness of NCDHH programs
and services.

MAAD Softball Tournament Approaching
The Midwest Athletic Association of the Deaf (MAAD) will host its 50th
Anniversary Softball Tournament in Council Bluffs July 24-27. The tournament
will feature men’s, women’s and coed divisions.
